Gripper Replacement
procedure
- Power off unit, remove
power cord
- Remove cover over
gripper, two screws
- Remove cover on top of
tower, one screw
- Remove octagonal tower
covers
- Disconnect 10 pin black
connector on gripper harness
- If present remove any
glue on wire harness
- Mark the screw
positions on the slots on the sled with pencil
- Remove two
screws holding the gripper to sled
- Attach new Gripper in
reverse procedure,
- Gripper should be in
the same position on the sleds and pointed slightly down toward the nose end
that goes into the disc center hole.
- Replace all covers and
Reset power
- Test picking with
Utility Loader Checkout routine on SA menu, Or Hyperterminal program for PC
attached or PC inside
- Use calibration
instructions if necessary .
