Tower Cables replacement procedures

 CE-106 replacement

• Power off;
• Remove covers on robot  tower;
• Take Note of routing of old cable;
• Unplug connectors on each end remove cable entirely;
• Clean out old tape residue;
• Route new cable as the old cable;
• Plug in connectors and apply double sided tape in same 3 areas;
• Replace covers;
• Power on and test.

TIC Replacement

• Power must be off
• Remove cover in front of drives to access the robot control card;
• Remove covers on robot  tower;
• Remove the nylon strain relief from around the cable, since one cable (Base Sensor 0) will not be removed
• Disconnect the 10 pin black connector and the 4 pin power connector in the tower frame channel;
• Remove 2 screws from the upper tower sensor, take caution not damage the fragile sensor assembly;
• Note the labels cable ends on new cable to match the card diagram for connections;
• Remove cables from the control card;
• Beginning with the smallest connector, carefully pull the wire out from the TOP of the center bearing hole in the center of the tower frame;
• Continue with the next size connector, the larger connectors are last;
• Install the new cable into the center bearing hole in the reverse order installing the largest connector first;
• Install the connectors on the control as labeled;
• Attach the upper tower sensor as it was removed and adjust it to its lowest position in the screw slots;
• Gently move the sled up to verify that the metal flag slides in the sensor slot without interference.
• Replace the black connector and the power connector in the tower frame channel;
• Test by powering on, the robot should return to home position as normal and the Green LED should be on, the Red LED off. 
• Perform a simple operation to pick a disc and move it to a drive tray to complete the test.
• If all works, power off, replace covers.
